Australian stocks go up

On Friday, Australian stocks leapt after the close on Friday, as profits in the Financials, Resources as well as Metals & Mining sectors brought shares up.

The S&P/ASX 200 earned 0.79%.

The best performers of the trading session on the S&P/ASX 200 were represented by Galaxy Resources Ltd, Santos Ltd and BT Investment Management Ltd. They rose 12.50%, 6.15% and 5.67% respectively.      

As for the worst performers, here we should point out to Resolute Mining Ltd, Northern Star Resources Ltd and Newcrest Mining Ltd. They tumbled 12.34%,7.59% and 7.51% respectively.    

Dropping shares outperformed soaring ones on the Australia Stock Exchange by 551 to 534, while 283 remained intact.

The S&P/ASX 200 VIX, gauging the implied volatility of S&P/ASX 200 options, sagged 0.57%, demonstrating 15.588.

The currency pair AUD/USD managed to rise 0.13%, showing an outcome of 0.7620, while AUD/JPY edged down 0.05%, trading at 81.27.

The US Dollar Index sank 0.11%, being worth 98.68.
