Japan shares rise at close of trade

On Monday, Japanese shares ascended after the close, as revenues in the Shipbuilding, Automobiles & Parts and Machinery sectors brought stocks higher.

The Nikkei 225 added 1.61%.

The best performers of the trading session on the Nikkei 225 were represented by Suzuki Motor Corporation, JGC Corporation and NTT Data Corporation. They gained 7.19%,6.37% and 4.47% respectively.       

The worst performers of the trading session included Furukawa Co., Ltd. with its 3.73% drop, Oji Holdings Corp. with its 3.70% sag and Nippon Suisan Kaisha, which descended 3.45%.

Ascending shares outclassed sagging ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by 2192 to 823, while 273 ended intact.

The Nikkei Volatility, gauging the implied volatility of Nikkei 225 options, dipped 7.32%, being worth 23.67.

The currency pair USD/JPY headed north 1.30%, reaching 104.43, while EUR/JPY managed to gain 0.64%, trading at 115.57.

The US Dollar Index climbed up 0.69%, being worth 97.61.
