Japan stocks go down at close of trade

On Monday, Japan stocks traded lower after the close, as losses in the Shipbuilding, Mining and Steel sectors brought shares lower.

The Nikkei 225 went down 0.12%.

The best performers of the trading session on the Nikkei 225 were SUMCO Corporation with its 9.11% rise, Fuji Electric Co. with its 6.28% gain and Dainippon Screen Mfg. Co. with its 6.28% ascend.

The worst performers were represented by NGK Insulators, Oki Electric Industry Co. and Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings Ltd. They dropped respectively 10.91%,10.56% and 7.49%.    

On the Tokyo Stock Exchange dropping stocks outperformed advancing ones by 1493 to 1459, while 362 remained intact.

Shares in Dainippon Screen Mfg. Co., Ltd. Went up to all time peaks, ascending 6.28% to 7189.9.

The Nikkei Volatility, measuring the implied volatility of Nikkei 225 options, gained 5.18%, being worth  19.10.

The currency pair USD/JPY rose 0.13%, trading at 104.87, while EUR/JPY sank 0.22%, being worth 114.92.
