Taiwan stocks trade higher at close of trade

On Friday, Taiwan stocks rose after the close, as revenues in the Biotech & Medical Care, Machinery as well as Auto sectors led stocks higher.

The Taiwan Weighted managed to gain 0.53% to hit a new 52-week peak.

The best performers of the trading session on the Taiwan Weighted included such stocks as Jean with its 9.98% rise, Walton with its 9.91% gain and Tri Ocean Text, which dared to grasp 9.77% during late trade.

As for the worst performers we should point out to Tainan Cayman, falling 5%, Candmark dropping 4.95% and Lily Textile, which edged down 4.61%.

On the Taiwan Stock Exchange, ascending shares outperformed dropping ones by 403 to 312, while 131 stood still.  

Shares in Walton headed north to 52-week peaks, rising 9.91% to 11.65.

Meanwhile, November delivery crude futures dropped 0.73%, trading at $45.98 per barrel. Aside from that, November delivery Brent futures dipped 0.52%, reaching $47.40.

The currency pair USD/TWD sank 0.15%, trading at 31.351, while TWD/CNY was intact, being worth 0.2120.
