Japan stocks dip
After Monday’s close, Japanese shares descended, following losses in the power, financial and insurance services sectors.
In Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 demonstrated a 3.40% loss.
The best performer of the Nikkei 225 trading session was Obayashi corporation, whose stocks surged 3.23%, trading at 1120.0. Besides this, Taiheiyo Cement Corporation gained 2.72%, trading at 302.0, while at 769.0 Taisei corporation managed to grab up to 16 points or 2.12%.
The worst player of the given trading session was NTN corporation, whose stocks edged down 27 poitns or 7.63%, trading at 327.0. Secondly, at 2873.0 MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings decreased 225 points or 7.26% close to the end of the session. As for Taiyo Yuden corporation, its stocks traded at 1053.0, boasting a 82 point or 7.27% surge.
Dropping shares managed to outnumber their advancing counterparts in Tokyo by approximately 1737 to 218, while 46 were intact.
By the way, the Nikkei Volatility, measuring the implied volatility of Nikkei 225 options, leapt to 31.00 or +16.28% - a fresh month peak.
The currency pair USD/JPY traded at 107.94 with a 0.77% loss, while EUR/JPY dipped 0.70% at 121.89.
The US Dollar Index surged 0.02% at 94.70.
