Fed officials speak about the rate policy

The Federal Reserve’s Vice Chair Stanley Fischer said on Monday that although the central bank is “widely expected” to begin raising interest rates this year, the policy path remains uncertain.

San Francisco Fed President John Williams said the high US dollar will affect US economic growth this year, but American economy is strong enough to handle it.

US dollar if below the recent highs versus the major currencies as traders now think that American regulator won’t start raising the federal funds rate in the coming months.
